5. Check out their book from the library—if the library doesn’t carry it already, recommend it!
6. Request to review the book
   1. There are many review sites, such as Necessary Fiction and Small Press Book Review, that you may request to review a book through. These sites provide you with a free copy of the book so that you can review it, which gives exposure to authors and their works!
7. Take a book selfie and post it to your social media
8. Nominate a book
   1. There are several reader-driven awards for great books, recommend the ones you love
9. Host an author
   1. Do you have a blog, podcast, or other platform you need content for? This is a win-win for you and the author. Offer to host an author you love on your platform, providing yourself and the author with more exposure.
10. SHARE
    1. I can’t stress this enough, please share the books you love with others. This and reviewing books are the best completely free ways to support an author whose works you love. Reblog, repost, tell your friends, recommend the book to a book club or your local library. If you love a book and want to support the author of that book, tell anyone and everyone about it. SHARE SHARE SHARE!

Remember, there are several ways one can help an author whose works they enjoy without spending a penny. A little goes a long way. I appreciate any support, in any form, that I get. My goal is to someday be able to support myself solely on revenue from book sales. If/When that happens, I have more time to invest in the books you enjoy. The more time I have to focus on writing the quicker you’ll be able to enjoy the sequels, for those invested in my series. Which means that your support means so much to me.
